Anchor Hospital is an 101-bed specialty treatment facility located in College Park on fifty-five acres near Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport. Fully licensed by the State of Georgia and accredited by JCAHO, Anchor Hospital has been providing accessible quality behavioral health care since 1986.
The creation of Anchor Hospital in 1986 was a very personal endeavor for its founder, the Honorable Juanita Marsh. Judge Marsh saw a family member permanently debilitated as a result of drug abuse. This life event was the motivation behind the creation of Anchor Hospital.
From the moment a patient enters Anchor Hospital, they are treated with dignity and respect. The staff never lose sight of the fact that they provide care and comfort to people in need. The patients and families that rely upon them are fellow human beings, and they will receive respectful and dignified treatment from all of our staff at all times.
Anchor is a community-based hospital. As such, most of our patients come from the greater Atlanta area. Due to our excellent reputation, we do get many patients from central Georgia as well.
We welcome referrals by medical or mental health caregivers, case managers, employee assistance programs, family members, community agencies, hospitals, clergy, friends and patients themselves.
